Shitty Weekend

This was a shitty weeekend. We took off after work on Friday to drop the kids off at MIL so we could head to Brooklyn, Michigan. I was looking forward to a great weekend sitting in the stands and chilling with all of the racing rednecks. We got up early Sat. and had breakfast, while we were cleaning up Hubs called a guy he works with who had passes for us. Hubs tells the guy we will meet him in 30 minutes. So I had to move because I was not even dressed yet and with race traffic it would take us at least 20 minutes to drive there. I will say our passes were great...we could go any where we wanted on the track...ect. the garage area. I sooo wanted to stalk Dale Jr. but my Hubs wouldn't let me. We did get to watch the Busch race and about 1 hour after the race the rain started. It rained on and off all day Sunday and the race was postponed until Monday. **Breaking News the race is now postponed until Tuesday due to rain**

After they called the race on Sunday we decided to pack up and head home. Hubs had to work on Monday and can't use any more vacation days (he has to save them for Jamaica). So needless to say we spent $400 on race tickets and can't watch the race because it was moved to the middle of the week.

My other delimma is trying to find out what damage was done to our resort that we are staying in during our trip to Jamaica. I have searched everywhere on the internet and can't find any details yet. I'm praying that it was not that bad like the news says.

******************************

I had to take my baby to the doctor today for a well baby check-up and health evaluation for pre-school. I promised her that she would not have a shot today that it was just a check-up. Well that great Gov. we have said that all children in the U.S. should have a Hep.A shot with a booster in 6 months. So needless to say she is not going to believe me when she has to go to the doctor again.

*******************************

Kay has to go to the eye doctor before school starts to make sure she can see well. Hubs and I both have to wear corrective lens so I'm sure she will have to have glasses eventually.

Well that is all I have to bitch about today, So I'll see you all soon.

10 Comments:

That sucks about the race! Just think, Jamaica will soooo be worth it! I got my passport today, still no sign of Hubbs.

Poor Court. Don't you hate that, it makes you out to be the bad guy because it seems you lied to them.

Hope your week gets better.

6:35 PM

Sorry to hear about the race. I was thinking about ya in all the crappy weather! We use to go to the race in Rockingham, which is no more! But they are fun!

Hope the resort in Jamaica is okay. That would suck for the wedding plans if it were ruined ;(

Krazy~ I checke this morning and our resort faired well, and no sign of passport yet. My mom finally got hers, but they applied back in April.

She would not let me take the bandaid off even this morning. She cried for 10 minutes because I took it off.

I'm watching the race online, as it ran today.

Neurotic1~ I'm bummed because we go to 3 races a year and we had to miss 2 of them. We had to miss Bristol becuase my nephew passed away and of course the damn MI weather was the cause this time.

The resort is good! I checked the web site this morning and it says that the only damage was to the gardens. That will be fixed by Nov., we just hope no more come along.

12:42 PM

damn, what a bummer about the race..

Boo has to go for a physical for pre school..I looked at her shot record and she needs three..I have not broke it to her yet..

3:01 PM

FFG~ I watched it on the internet today, so I'm glad I wasn't there because my man did not win.

Maybe they just forgot to write them on your card, and she really doesn't have to have any. Be mean like me and don't tell her.

3:08 PM

im thinking that is the races our friends have been at all weekend..maybe thats why they didnt come home last night...

4:08 PM

well, i know she needs them..I am a BAD mom and did not keep up on it..we moved here when she was 14 months old..and she has not really been to the doc since we have been here other then when she is sick..

I told her she will be getting three shots...she was not impressed.

12:26 AM

HMM~ They didn't run until Tuesday. My man didn't win so I'm not so said now.

FFG~ You bad momma! Get that girl her shots then take her to Target to buy her something nice.

4:34 PM

you need a new post lady!

8:01 AM

Mama~ your wish was my command. I started the new post on Sunday and our damn computer is very slow right now. Glad a pay $45 for it to be slow.
